മഹാകവി പള്ളത്തു രാമൻ രചിച്ച ചരിത്രാഖ്യായിക എന്ന ഗണത്തിലുള്ള ഗദ്യകൃതിയായ അമൃതപുളിനം എന്ന പുസ്തകത്തിന്റെ ഡിജിറ്റൽ സ്കാനാണ് ഇത്. രചയിതാവായ പള്ളത്ത്, മഹാകവി പള്ളത്തു രാമൻ എന്ന് അറിയപ്പെട്ടു. അദ്ദേഹം ഒരു അദ്ധ്യാപകനും (പാലക്കാട് ഗവർണ്മെൻ്റ് വിക്ടോറിയ കോളേജിൽ മലയാളം അദ്ധ്യാപകൻ ആയിരുന്നു) കവിയും എഴുത്തുകാരവും സാമൂഹ്യപരിഷ്കർത്താവും ആയിരുന്നു. മുഗള് സാമ്രാജ്യവും രാജപുത്രരും തമ്മിലുള്ള സംഘര്ഷത്തിന്റെയും സഹവര്ത്തിത്വത്തിന്റെയും ചരിത്രഘട്ടമാണ് ആഖ്യായികയില് ആവിഷ്ക്കരിക്കുന്നത്.
